Challenge
The flowing shell of this chair created for Japanese manufacturer Conde House offers clear contours paired with the very highest level of comfort. Nevertheless, the stand-out feature is the elegant frame which cleaves to the curves of the seat while also supporting its back. With its graceful joins and smoothly organic transitions from frame to legs, the design was not without its challenges for the craftsmen in Japan who were assigned to produce it – challenges which they mastered with inimitable skill.
The Challenge series of dining and couch tables isn’t just made of the same wood as the eponymous chairs but also uses the same design details such as natural-look rounded edges; combined with the chairs, these tables create a harmonious furnishing ensemble.
